I have always been fascinated by different computing technologies. Growing up I loved playing around on the family computer and as I got older trying to modify my Xbox 360 so I could cheat in Call of Duty. At the time I didn\u2019t realize it, but these planted the seeds of an aspiring passion. To explore this passion, I attended Slippery Rock University to study cybersecurity where I graduated magna cum laude in 2021 with a 3.74 GPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During my time at Slippery Rock, I was hired as a computer science tutor and teaching assistant. These jobs made me understand the importance of being able to break down complex technical subjects to a non-technical audience. And how I could use my technical experience to help others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This made me want to pursue using my technical skills to help others as a career. I got a job with TrueSense Marketing in 2022 to help fulfill this goal. This is where I am currently working as a database specialist. The company sends direct mail on behalf of non-profits. I manage client-facing databases for my role within this organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shortly after being hired, my quest for knowledge within this field led me to studying social data science for my master\u2019s degree at Arizona State University. In this program, I was able to expand my horizons in the field of data science, which also investigated the humanities, and how these fields intertwine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My time at ASU further led me to wanting to use my technical skills to help others since I learned through both my background in cybersecurity and my new degree in social data science how technology can easily be abused. This is why I find it so important to be able to explain technical processes to non-technical people. They deserve to be informed about what is happening in a world they may be unfamiliar with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am dedicated to my career to use technology to help others while making sure they understand how technology impacts them. As a lifelong student I hope to continue learning new skills that lets me explore my passion while helping people as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
